With the engine code - Z18XER - Ive read there are two sensors at the end of the cam shafts as the engine has variable cam timing. Theres the intake cam sensor and the exhaust cam sensor. The fault code P0365 relates to the exhaust sensor (or so Im led to believe) Im just not sure where its located.

You must have a fuel leak somewhere for the smell to be present, and its very likely the smell and loss of power are related. If you cannot see where the leak is, and the smell is strong I would suggest taking it somewhere as soon as possible.
